Video Portfolio

My experience with video is woven into the fabric of my entire marketing career. I don’t just manage projects; I dive into the full creative lifecycle—from initial ideation and scriptwriting to on-set shooting and post-production editing.

Beyond traditional video, I have extensive experience managing high-stakes live streams, ensuring seamless technical execution and real-time audience engagement. Whether it’s a short-form social clip or a complex live broadcast, I bring a strategic eye and a hands-on skillset to every frame.

Advocacy in Focus: Medical Perspectives on the Death Penalty

This project involved high-stakes, sensitive content production for Death Penalty Action. I was responsible for recording and editing this expert testimony to transform a technical press conference into a clear, impactful advocacy tool.

My Role & Process:

  • Media Production & Capture: Managed the recording of the press conference, ensuring high-quality audio and clear visuals for Dr. Jonathan Groner’s expert medical analysis.
  • Post-Production & Content Strategy: Distilled a complex medical presentation—centered on forensic autopsy evidence and trauma surgery—into a compelling segment designed for social media and educational outreach.
  • Impactful Editing: Carefully integrated the expert’s findings on “purposeful misses” and “implicit bias” to highlight the ethical and physiological failures of specific execution methods, ensuring the gravity of the subject matter remained the central focus.

This work demonstrates my capability to handle sensitive, high-profile subject matter with professional discretion and a focus on mission-driven storytelling.

Spirits of Craft: An AI-Enhanced Halloween Feature

For this community-favorite project, I pushed the boundaries of traditional video by integrating Generative AI to bring the Craft Alliance permanent collection to life. The goal was to create a “macabre, magnificent mash-up” that showcased the organization’s playful side during the Halloween season.

My Role & Process:

  • AI Integration: Leveraged AI tools to animate static handmade artworks, giving them fluid, supernatural movement that would be impossible through traditional filming alone.
  • Creative Concepting: Developed the “Spirits of Craft” narrative—imagining what happens in the gallery after the lights go out—to drive engagement through mystery and whimsy.
  • Visual Design & Editing: Blended original gallery footage with AI-generated overlays and a “Wonderland of Weird” aesthetic, meticulously editing the piece to match a rhythmic, haunting soundtrack.

This project serves as a showcase of my ability to blend emerging technology with traditional marketing to create viral, high-engagement content for local audiences.

Rooted in Craft: A Conversation with Lauren Wash

In this featured short, I explore the intersection of heritage and handmade art through a conversation with Lauren Wash, Development Manager at Craft Alliance. This video dives into the deep-seated philosophy that drives the maker movement today.

Key Highlights:

  • The Power of Slowing Down: A reflection on how traditional crafts like needle turn appliqué offer a necessary antidote to the era of fast fashion and instant gratification.
  • Generational Connection: Lauren shares how her family’s history of “always making” shaped her identity as an artist.
  • The Iterative Design Process: Insight into Lauren’s “building block” method, where each creation naturally informs the next.

This piece serves as a testament to why we create, highlighting the profound connection between modern makers and the ancestral techniques that have survived for thousands of years.

Local Flavor: The Art of Steele Caramels

I produced this spotlight on Susan Fox of Steele Caramels, documenting how a family recipe evolved into a staple of the St. Louis maker community. This project focused on the intersection of culinary art and traditional craft.

My Role & Process:

  • Storytelling & Interviewing: Crafted the narrative arc to highlight the “sweet legacy” of Susan’s grandmother while connecting it to modern collaborations with local partners like Kuva Coffee and OC Spoons.
  • Cinematography: Captured the textures and process of handmade caramel, using visual storytelling to position food as a contemporary craft.
  • End-to-End Post-Production: Managed the full edit, including sound design and color grading, to create a high-energy “short” that emphasizes local business synergy and craftsmanship.

Art in Motion: The Twist Vase Process

For this project, I focused on the “satisfying” and rhythmic nature of ceramics to create a high-engagement instructional short. Featuring resident artist Alisha Porter, this video transforms a technical pottery demonstration into a visually captivating piece of “art-tainment.”

My Role & Process:

  • Visual Storytelling: Directed the shoot to prioritize close-up, macro shots of the clay’s texture and the artist’s hand movements, ensuring the “twist” technique was the visual hero.
  • Rhythmic Editing: Synced the pottery wheel’s rotation and the molding process to a custom musical track, creating a “flow state” viewing experience that appeals to both makers and casual viewers.
  • Instructional Design: Balanced aesthetic beauty with clear, step-by-step visual cues, making a complex artistic process feel accessible and inspiring.

This video highlights my ability to use cinematic editing and sound design to elevate standard instructional content into a shareable brand story.
